TALLAHASSEE, June 2, 2005 -- Notice is hereby given to all interested persons of a vacancy on the Fifth District Court of Appeal. The Fifth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission is actively seeking applicants for a replacement.
Applications may be requested from the office of the Chair, Skip Fowler, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or they may be downloaded from The Florida Bar's website
www.flabar.org. All applications must be submitted in the form of an original with nine (9) copies and must be filed no later than 5 p.m., June 13, 2005, at the office of the Chair.
Interviews will be conducted at a date to be determined within the last two weeks of June 2005 at a location to be selected.
All persons who desire to be considered must submit a background statement in substantial compliance with The Florida Bar Application. All applicants must also submit waivers of confidentiality of all materials necessary to adequately investigate each applicant.

An applicant must be a registered voter of the State of Florida and have been a member in good standing of The Florida Bar for the preceding ten years. To be appointed and serve, a successful applicant must reside within the Fifth District.
